Prepositions never occur on their own. They’re always at the beginning of the part of a sentence that has either a noun or a pronoun in it.
- Zij gaan met vakantie naar Noorwegen (They’re going on holiday to Norway).
- Geef het maar aan je zus (Give it to your sister).
