Hij maakt zijn huiswerk. (He is doing his homeworks.)<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Wat maakt hij? (What is he doing?) =&gt; zijn huiswerk (his homework) =&gt; \u2019zijn huiswerk\u2019 is the direct object.<br \/><\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">2. De jongens gooiden sneeuwballen. (The boys threw snowballs.)<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Wat gooiden de jongens? (What did the boys throw?)<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">=&gt; sneeuwballen (snowballs) =&gt;\u2019sneeuwballen\u2019 is the direct object<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"> 3. Ze waarschuwden hem niet op tijd. (They warned him just in time.)<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"> Wie waarschuwden ze? (Who did they warn?) =&gt; hem (him)<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"> \u2019hem\u2019 is the direct object.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Another way of finding the direct object is by making an active sentence passive.
